Media Release – 28th May 2018

The Bundaberg Chamber of Commerce award for Community Organisation of the Year was presented to Regional Housing Limited (RHL) at the Chamber’s Business Excellence Awards Gala Dinner on Saturday evening (26th May). RHL was recognised for the work it does in the community to reduce homelessness and improve the lives of the most vulnerable in our community.

RHL was selected from six local finalists to take out the award which recognises commitment and innovation in the Bundaberg community and promotes continuous improvement and growth of the community sector.

RHL’s Chairperson Lucinda Doughty proudly accepted the award on the evening and thanked RHL’s Board of Directors, Subcommittees, Management, Staff, and key Support Partners for the ongoing work and commitment to the organisation and the community.

Ms Doughty went on to say that “While it’s an outstanding achievement for RHL to be recognised by the Bundaberg business community for the difference it makes to the community, it is also a great opportunity to raise awareness regarding homelessness and housing in our region.”

With a reputation as a community leader, RHL will continue its work in partnership with key stakeholders and supports to reduce homelessness and improve the lives of others.
