Collection of your personal information
Where possible, we will only collect personal information directly from you; however we may obtain your information from other people (e.g. referring agencies, service providers etc.) In some circumstances we will need to obtain sensitive information about you which will only be collected where reasonable to do so.
Please be aware if we ask for your personal information and you don’t give it to us we may not be able to provide you with any, some, or all of the services we provide.
We may also collect personal information through use of our website or interacting with us on social media. This information is used to improve our website and to provide a response where required.
Generally we will only use your personal information for the primary purpose it was collected for. In some circumstances we may disclose your information for a secondary purpose, for example where you have provided consent, a related purpose where you would expect us to or as required under law.
Your personal information will be accessible by relevant persons to complete their duties when acting on behalf of RHL e.g. employees, contractors, volunteers etc.
Third parties associated with us could also have access to your information to carry out relevant services e.g. Government departments, finance and insurance providers, IT service providers, information storage providers, accountants and auditors.
Your personal information will not be disclosed overseas without your consent, however we may use information storage providers who are based overseas e.g. cloud storage providers.
Rights and choices
You can request to access or correct your personal information held by us. Your request will be processed in a reasonable timeframe.
If we do not provide you with access or refuse to update your information, you will be notified. Where appropriate, we will provide you with the reason for the decision.
You also reserve the right to withdraw you consent for us to disclose your personal information at any time.
How to make a complaint
If you wish to make a complaint about how we have handled your personal information please forward your concerns to our Chief Executive Officer. We are committed to respecting your privacy and we will respond to you as soon as reasonably possible.
