Coast to Country Housing Merges with Regional Housing Limited

On the 2nd November 2020 Coast to Country Housing Company (C2C) merged with Regional Housing Limited (Regional Housing) creating Queensland’s largest regional Community Housing Provider.

As a result of the merger Regional Housing now manages a combined portfolio of over 1,000 crisis, transitional, and long term social and affordable housing properties throughout regional Queensland stretching from the Wide Bay Burnett region to Townsville and surrounding areas.

Now with almost 60 years of combined experience in delivering housing and related services to vulnerable Queenslanders, Regional Housing is in a strong position to take advantage of growth opportunities and expand its service delivery into more regional Queensland centres.

Regional Housing Limited’s CEO Brett Hanna is excited about what the merger means for regional Queensland communities.

“With our combined scale, resources and experience, we can better advocate for the needs of regional Queensland, making the most of growth opportunities to develop much needed housing and facilitate even better outcomes for vulnerable individuals and families throughout regional Queensland.”

Coast to Country Housing Company Chairperson Chris Barnes, echoed these sentiments.

“This merger ensures that essential services provided by Coast to Country will continue to be offered in North Queensland communities, retaining local jobs across the organisation and leveraging our combined skills and experience to further strengthen our person centred, place-based service offerings.”

Regional Housing will continue to trade as Coast to Country Housing in North Queensland, leveraging the combined systems and resources of both organisations to streamline service delivery and focus on quality to ensure the best possible outcomes for customers, stakeholders and the wider community.
